The results are in for the SAP Quality Awards for SAP Projects in the Nordic and Baltic regions.
The three project categories in which the awards are presented are:
The winners in each of the categories together with their supporting implementation partners are:
The latest SAP Technology and Innovations were common in the first two categories while the Business Transformation category projects generally deployed well proven SAP tools and platforms. In fact, most of the shortlisted entries in the Business Transformation category are still running ECC 6, which has been upgraded to the appropriate enhancement pack in preparation for a later move to S/4 HANA. I believe this is a fair reflection of where many companies are today particularly manufacturing companies with complex SAP environments.
Vestas was the big winner with 2 gold medals at SAP Nordic Quality Awards 2018, while DSV and Salling Group achieved silver and LEO Pharma bronze. Thus, 5 of the 9 prizes in the Nordic competition went to Danish SAP customers.
As this is the first time I have participated as a judge for the SAP Quality Awards, I was surprised to see that there were no entries from Norway among the winners shortlist in any of the three categories. This may be a blip due to a scarcity of quality projects finishing over the last 12 months but I will try to remedy this by working with our member companies, partners and the organisers to ensure we have some high quality entrants for 2019. Anyone who is interested in entering their project for SAP Quality Awards 2019 please take contact with the undersigned.
